Terms of Service
Last updated: May 17, 2026
By using MyPathToLicensure, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English because we'd like you to actually read them.
What MyPathToLicensure is
MyPathToLicensure is a tool to help mental-health professionals track their post-master's clinical hours toward state licensure. It's currently in beta and intended as a personal record-keeping aid.
What it isn't
MyPathToLicensure is not a substitute for your licensing board. The hours, compliance checks, and PDF exports are based on our reading of state regulations, but you remain responsible for verifying your own data against your state's actual licensing requirements, applying with the correct forms, and meeting all requirements imposed by your board.
We do our best to interpret regulations accurately, but laws and board interpretations change. If our app says you're compliant and your board says you're not, your board wins.
Beta status
MyPathToLicensure is in active development. This means:
- Features may change, move, or be removed
- The app may have bugs (please report them!)
- We may need to take the service offline for maintenance
- Data is backed up nightly, but please keep your own records (spreadsheets, exported PDFs) as a personal backup
We'll do our best to give notice before any breaking changes, but a beta product comes with some volatility. By using the app during beta, you accept this.
Your account
You're responsible for:
- Keeping your sign-in method (email inbox or Google account) secure
- The accuracy of the hours and information you enter
- Using the app for its intended purpose (tracking your own clinical hours)
You may not:
- Share your account with another person
- Attempt to access another user's data
- Use the app to harass, defraud, or harm others
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service in ways that affect other users
Your data
You own your data. We don't claim any rights over the hours, notes, supervisor information, or anything else you enter. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
Service availability
We aim to keep MyPathToLicensure available, but we can't promise 100% uptime. We're not liable for any losses, missed deadlines, or other consequences if the service is unavailable. Make sure you have backups of your data, especially before any licensing board submission deadline.
Account termination
You may delete your account at any time. (Currently by emailing hello@mypathtolicensure.app; self-serve deletion is coming.) Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed per our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms (abuse, scraping, attempting to access others' data, etc.). We'll give you notice when we can.
No warranty
MyPathToLicensure is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, available without interruption, or meet your specific needs. The compliance checks are interpretations of regulations and should not be treated as legal or professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, MyPathToLicensure and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to: failed licensure applications, missed deadlines, lost data, or any decisions you make based on information from the app.
If you're unsure about your licensing requirements, contact your state board directly.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll email registered users and post the change in the in-app Reference section before they take effect. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States. Any disputes will be handled in Massachusetts courts.
